Ben Somrak was born and raised in the Gunnison Valley and is a 5th generation native of Crested Butte, with family roots dating to the 1860s. He is a graduate of Western State Colorado University where as a collegiate student, Ben worked closely with his mentor, Sean Norton, and developed a passion for the trade. Ben's years of building experience offers his clients a keen understanding of both the design and build phase of projects in cold weather climates. When not designing a home or framing a roof, Ben enjoys boating with his friends during the beautiful summer weekends on Blue Mesa Reservoir south of Crested Butte. Ben was once voted back-to-back winner of "Best Skier" for "Best in the Butte," a poll of the Gunnison Valley community. He is also a Firefighter for the Crested Butte Fire Protection District, serving his community with pride, and earned the coveted 2007 "District Person of the Year" award. As a president and vice president of two different boards of directors, Ben has amassed large amounts of experience and professionalism from a young age.
Jeremy Erickson has spent a good portion of his life on the jobsite. He grew up in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, IL where his Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather before him all made their livings in the construction industry. Jeremy spent 6 years in the Gunnison valley from 1999 to 2005, obtaining a degree in Economics and Enviornmental Studies from Western State Colorado University. Jeremy eventually moved back to Chicago working for, as a Field Superintendent, Project Manager, and Certified LEED Accredited Professional at Glenn H Johnson Construction. He has experienced the high stakes world of commercial construction and learned how to satisfy demanding clients such as Home Depot, Best Buy, Kroger, and many more on large scale projects. Through his experience, Jeremy has realized the importance of honesty, efficiency, teamwork, and getting the job done correctly the first time around. He returned to Crested Butte to enjoy the quality of life and work with clients on a more personal basis in a small town atmosphere. When not at work he enjoys snowboarding, snowmobiling, hiking, rock climbing, 4-wheeling, and fishing around the Gunnison Valley.
Kyle Skinner moved to the Gunnison Valley in 2004 to pursue a college education and the mountain life that New Jersey could not supply and hasn't looked back since. Kyle has been banging the nail for the better part of his adult life, mostly in Colorado, starting it off with a touch of East Coast carpentry. Kyle has worked on several projects throughout Crested Butte, all along acquiring the touch that custom home building in this part of the world requires. Kyle has plans to be a long time resident of Crested Butte, his beautiful wife and two adorable kids are going to help him make that goal a reality. When not creating the masterpiece that is a custom home, Kyle enjoys snowboarding, mountain biking, and spending time with his family. Kyle looks forward to seeing you on that next project!

Kate Somrak grew up in the northwest suburbs of Chicago and attended the University of Iowa graduating with a B.B.A. in marketing. She moved to CB in 2008 looking to explore her passion for the mountains and fell in love with this unique small town community. Kate joined the team in 2013.
